Generally,
we search several of the content in the mobile applications. And,
most of the content we’re looking for is saved in mobile
applications, which is why Google thought of the concept so-called
indexing
apps in search to bring the information to the world. The
organization is up with the new search mode in the app called
“In-App” search which
would enable you to search the things inside the mobile applications
like contacts, music, videos, tasks and a lot more.
For
instance, Google would suggest you to use “In-App” search mode to
find the conversation history of some specific things between you and
your friend in your messages thread. It can be the name of the
restaurant, movies, favorite song or anything. You can use the search
mode feature for your favorite song in a music streaming app or a
video on a YouTube.
Looking
at the current scenario, “In-Apps” search only works for Gmail,
Spotify and YouTube but soon the organization confirmed that they
would integrate this feature by adding in the Facebook messenger,
LinkedIn, Evernote, Glide, Todoist, and Google in a near future.
The
company also added that In-App search would take place on your entire
phone, unlike the Google search which takes place on the remote
servers. This means that the things which we don’t want to share
won’t sent to google and can also work without the internet meaning
the offline mode. You can also configure which apps will appear by
going to the Google’s app settings and toggling the various apps
ons and offs.
With
the app indexing project, Google has been working to bring in-app
content to search, which was expanded last year and included the apps
that didn’t also have a matching web content. It highly work much
beyond the clouds with the search feature that enables you to stream
the app from the virtual machine when you didn’t have it installed
on your device.
However
some of the content can’t be indexed such as if you wish to find
out the rates of hotel, personnel content like grocery list and more
such kind of searches are not indexed. To get this level of search
into the “in-app” search, Google search app has to dig in to the
mobile operating itself to avail this feature.
